Hat Trick

By Lynea Bowdish

The hockey puck whipped toward Hank. The Lords' player was on top of him. He couldn't try another shot at the goal. He tapped the puck with his stick and passed it to Jim.
Hank was looking for his third goal of the game. Three in a game and he'd have a "hat trick," his first ever.
The Knights were four goals ahead. In the two minutes left in the game, the Lords didn't have a chance of winning.
Jim returned the pass. Jim was new to the team, and he had yet to score since joining.
But Jim was a good team player. Like the other Knights, Jim would feed Hank the puck.
The Knights wanted Hank to get the hat trick.
